• How often do I need to get my heavy vehicle tested to ensure compliance?

Twice a year.

• ​How do I know whether my vehicle needs to be tested?​

Testing requirements are tied to registration renewal date, and every six months thereafter.  For detailed timelines, please visit Clean Truck Check Requirements

• What is a Five Day Pass and how do I obtain it?

Out of State vehicle owners may obtain a Five-Day Pass while travelling to the State of California.  Such Five-Day Pass may be issued to the vehicle owner up to once a year, subject to certain requirements.  Email application for the pass may be sent to [email protected].  If approved the Five Day Pass will be emailed to you, and you are required to keep the pass in the vehicle at all times while in the State.
